Full-time On the road Dorset Monday to Friday

£38,000 - £45,000 per year

The role

PowerNaturally is an MCS-certified renewable energy installer based in Ferndown, Dorset. We are looking for a skilled and experienced PV and Battery Installer to join our team.

The role is primarily focused on solar PV and battery storage installation. You will also carry out maintenance work on existing PV and battery systems. Full product and renewables training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Install solar PV arrays, battery storage systems and associated electrical equipment to MCS standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Commission systems and complete all required MCS documentation and certification.
  • Carry out site surveys prior to installation, identifying any technical or structural considerations.
  • Work in compliance with BS7671, G98/G99 and relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment on site and follow PowerNaturally's health and safety policies.
  • Complete job records accurately and on time using SimPro and other systems in place.
  • Liaise with the Field Operations Manager on scheduling, site issues and escalations.
  • Assist with system design and sizing for straightforward PV and battery projects where required.
  • Contribute to bills of materials and labour estimates based on field experience.
  • Provide technical input to the sales team on customer queries and site-specific requirements.
  • Support other departments with practical knowledge of products, installations and field conditions.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Proven experience as a PV and Battery Installer (minimum 2 years)
  • BS7671 / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and Maintenance
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • MCS-recognised qualification (e.g. BPEC, City & Guilds PV)
  • CSCS Card
  • ECS Card
  • First Aid certificate
  • Working at Height (IPAF, PASMA or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • IT-competent with accurate record keeping

What we offer

  • £38,000 - £45,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications
  • Full-time, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work required)
